Triple Pushchairs from 3 months

As mentioned in the introduction, there are a few triple pushchairs on the market that do not cater for newborns and are in fact only suited for babies from 3 months old. These pushchairs tend to be of the side-by-side seat arrangement variety and have lightweight structures – indeed they appear to be primarily marketed towards nurseries or childminders (who are obliged to take their charges out for fresh air). But, as these triple pushchairs tend to be the least expensive, you could consider them for occasional use like when you go on holidays. As they are usually fine for children up to three years old, these pushchairs can accommodate any age configuration of three children that you have. There are two options, in my opinion, that fit the bill:
The OBaby Triple is by far the cheapest triple pushchair on the market and, with its no nonsense streamlined design, is a practical option for triplets from 3 months to 3 years old. It is relatively lightweight (19kg), has multi position seats with adjustable 5 point harnesses, a compact umbrella-style fold, lockable front swivel wheels and is made in wipe clean fabric. Added extras include the detachable sun hoods, a large shopping basket and a rain cover. You can get matching foot muffs, but at an extra cost. When folded it measures 102 x 60 x 35cm. All in all, a good cost-effective pushchair – perfect for short outings. The cons are that it is quite wide (at 105cm when in use) and unwieldy.
The B12 Triple is a firm favourite with nurseries and childminders, perhaps because it has a an extra strong chassis tubing (apparently 50% thicker than standard pushchairs) that makes it stronger, more hard wearing, and easier to push. It is remarkably light at just 17kg, and has large sprung wheels with shock absorbing systems and sturdy brakes. The seats can be set in 5 different positions and all have 5-point harnesses. It also has an umbrella-style fold and, at 104cm, is a slightly less wide than the OBaby and is a little more compact when folded (120 x 65 x 22cm).
However, I’m not sure that the slightly narrower fit and lighter frame, makes up for the fact that there is no shopping basket or sun hoods, plus its is much more expensive than the OBaby and in my opinion, not at all stylish.
